Nakshathra Residency is a service apartment — take it for one night or for a year. Check-in is from 12 noon and check-out by 12 noon, the same on a one-night stay as on a yearly one, and there is no front desk asking how long you are staying — you agree the terms once and the apartment is yours for exactly as long as you need it.
This page is about the stay rather than the building. Who it suits, what a service apartment gives you that a lodge cannot, how the agreement is made, and what to ask us when you call.
Who it suits
Coimbatore is a hospital, college and manufacturing city, and stays here run from a single night to a year for one of those reasons. These are the people who usually call us.
A late flight, a wedding, an appointment that could not be scheduled for the day you land — sometimes all you need is one or two nights in a real apartment rather than a lodge room. Check in from 12 noon and check out by 12 noon the day you leave.
A course of treatment rarely runs to a neat number of days, and the patient is seldom alone — someone from the family is here for the whole of it. A kitchen matters more than usual: food has to suit the person who is unwell, cooked when they can eat it. A lift matters too, on the days walking up is not an option.
Transfers, site work and contracts that run past the point where a room by the night stops making sense. You want your own door, your own things left out on the table in the morning, and a place to park that does not change every week.
A term, a semester, a training block. Somewhere quiet enough to work in, with a desk-height table, a fan and an air-conditioner, and a kitchen so that eating out is a choice rather than the only option. Families sometimes take a unit for two who are studying together.
The old house is handed over and the new one is not ready — a build running late, a handover waiting, a sale that has to complete first. A furnished apartment covers the gap without putting the furniture into storage and the family into three different homes.
You have arrived, you are looking for something permanent, and you would rather do that from a real kitchen than from a hotel room. A monthly apartment gives you a settled base while you learn which part of the city you actually want to live in.
Why a service apartment
Everything below is in the building already. It matters even for a single night, and over months it is the whole difference.
Every unit has a modular kitchen with a granite counter, a sink and storage under it, and a refrigerator. Diets, timings and habits are yours to keep.
Nothing is packed away and nothing is reallocated for the length of your stay. Your things stay exactly where you left them.

A passenger lift serves every floor, which is what makes an upper unit workable with luggage, groceries or an elderly parent.

How a stay works
Whether it is one night or a monthly tenancy, it is arranged with us directly — a short conversation rather than a checkout page.
How many people are coming, how long you plan to stay — a night or several months — and when you would like to check in. Call or message on WhatsApp.
Come and walk through whatever is free at the time. If you are out of town, we will take you around it on a video call instead, room by room.
Rate, deposit if applicable, notice period for a longer stay, and exactly what is included are settled and put in writing before any money changes hands.
The unit is cleaned and handed over with the bed, wardrobe, kitchen and seating already in it, at a check-in time that suits you. Bring your clothes and your kitchen habits.
Nothing is paid before it is written down. The rate, the deposit if one applies, the notice period for a longer stay, and what the amount does and does not cover are agreed with you first and set out in writing. If a figure is not in that document, it is not owed.
Because terms depend on the unit, the floor and how long you are staying, we do not publish them here. Ask on the call and you will get a straight answer for the unit you are actually looking at.
